On Independence Day the central streets and squares of cities and towns of Ukraine will be filled with real holiday atmosphere. Khreshchatyk will present to Kyivites of any age and tastes enchanting shows and concerts. On August 24 at 3.00 p.m. Khreschatyk Street (within Prorizna and Gorodetskogo) will welcome flash mob «Energy Independence Time» with electric vehicles and electric bicycles. It will be the start of electric car rally to Oseshchyna Tesla Camp (Greencubator) — a unique camp in the open air, which is powered by renewable energy sources.
The organizer of the event is a public organization Association of Renewable Energy «Alternativa». The event also attracted Mikhail Demuriya — the organizer of the first electric car rally in Ukraine in the Crimea, that finished just a few days ago, and Zhenya Khmara — the talented Ukrainian composer, the author of the anthem of the European Sustainable Energy Week in Ukraine. Auto show in support of «green» technologies will be held with the participation electric companies of mass production provided by Bio Automotive and SIG Motors, as well as self-made electric cars provided by the club «ElectroAvtoSam.» For the first time in Ukraine electric car cabriolett by TM Bio Auto will be presented on Khreschatyk. Auto rally to Oseshchyna is the event which will bring together its participants with Tesla Camp residents. Within the framework of Tesla Camp (August 23-25th) Hackathon will take place. It’s a contest of innovative projects and solutions in the field of energy efficiency which will attract teams of programmers, environmentalists, scientists and artists. The stage of the event will welcome Ukrainian inventors and environmental activists, and foreign guests, and the unique atmosphere, which Zinchenko brothers -founders of social organization Greencubator and the organizers of the event — are particularly proud of will charge for new discoveries and inspire for new achievements.
